Overview: Learn how to use
Learn how to use and develop your own app for Windows Mixed Reality HoloLens devices. We will also learn about all related XR technologies, so that you are up to date.
Learn how to use Hololens device for communication, visualisation and collaborative computing.
We will instal the full correct environment for development and then develop an app using Unity3d.
We will add and develop with hand gestures, eye gaze controls and holograms inside a spatialised mapped environment to create an app that is truly interactive, immersive and engaging.
No Prior Coding Skills Required.

Understand the current MR, VR and AR environment for corporate applications.
Install and create the windows development environment using Windows 10 Pro.
Build your own version of our test app with core competencies over the day.
Deploy and Test your app with the HoloLens, tethered and remotely.
Fast-track, beginner friendly course, assumes no prior knowledge other than competency with Windows.
Bring a Windows 10 Pro laptop with all updates installed, a mouse and 20GB+ of free space, we intend to roll up our sleeves and install everything needed to develop and test during the class.
REMEMBER: No Prior Coding Skills Required.
We will have a few Microsoft HoloLens headsets throughout the course, and provide source files of the project, including a final version, for you to test, build on and refine.
At the end of the course, you will be able to demonstrate your version of the app that we develop together in class.
The workshop will be presented in our learning suite by an experienced instructor and industry expert Dr John Holder, Head of Technology at the Realities Centre, M.Sc. in Virtual Reality, with teaching assistants as required.
