This event is ran as part of London Tech Week and Cocoon’s Networks China – Hi Tech Festival.
The current Virtual and Mixed Reality (XR) technologies are still a long way from having a comfortable and user friendly experience for end users to, for example, make the retail experience of the future possible today.
There are still big challenges to overcome to reach a wearable device which is light, powerful and, most importantly, intelligent enough to deliver content on a personalized and seamless manner.
The AIXR symposium is bringing together key AI & Mixed Reality players to collaborate and discuss technologies in AI, Machine Learning and Computer Vision technologies applications in Augmented, Virtual and Mixed Reality (abbreviated as XR).
The Realities Centre Vision Programme is focusing on accelerating and incubating innovation for that particular purpose and we will also update our guests and partners on its latest news.
9am – Guests arrive and networking, tea & coffee
9.30 – Welcome introduction from hosts speakers from Realities Centre and Cocoon Networks, to explain why we are doing this #AIXR event: focus on different AI technologies for VR and the advancement of Mixed Reality, as the light B2C consumer eyewear is still far away and innovations are coming, hence our upcoming Vision Program to help accelerate that. Tonight is about knowing more about the current progress, challenges and future potentials.
Talks from leading corporations on:
The Importance and history of uses of AI in XR (reviewing our last #AIVR event and hack, especially how AI, ML & VC are impacting Mixed Reality (user experience, size, autonomy)”
Innovation and investments in machine learning for objects recognition for the shopping experience, currently for mobile AR and in future through wearables.
Importance of AI in VR for, e.g., voice commands and conversational agents.
Importance & development of mobile AR in the Chinese market and beyond, and its future through wearables.
PANEL 1: From online search to visual search, the technologies involved and the extraordinary potentials
PANEL 2 discussion: AI in AR/MR, Live Visual Search & future light wearables
AIXR Vision Program Realities Centre update and some pitches/demos
